Alexandra (Alex) Guajardo, MBA, is a seasoned executive leader with over two decades of experience driving strategic transformation across the legal industry both on the law firm and in-house corporate side. Renowned for her innovative approach to commercial strategy and operational excellence, Alex has led global initiatives that blend profitability with human-centric leadership.

She is currently the founder of Xela Advisory, where she empowers organizations to optimize legal operations, pricing strategies, and client value delivery. Known for her dynamic insights and her ability to inspire change, Alex is a recognized pricing expert with deep experience helping organizations optimize legal spend and drive value through innovative fee arrangements. She most recently served as Global Director of Commercial Strategy at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP), where she partnered with firm leadership and clients worldwide to develop forward-thinking pricing models aligned with strategic growth goals. 

Before BCLP, Alex led Shell Global Legal Sourcing team, where she managed outside counsel, negotiated and evaluated alternative fee arrangements (AFAs) and built frameworks that strengthen relationships between in-house counsel and external law firms.  With her unique blend of business acumen and legal industry insight, Alex helps organizations move beyond cost control to design pricing strategies that create lasting value.  Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for transformative growth to every stage she takes.
