For BD Professionals Who Want to Make An Impact

BDI:CI was developed specifically to help BD professionals coach more effectively and drive meaningful business results. You’re already having coaching conversations with seller-doers in your firm. But you want to bring more intention, structure, and impact to the table.

This six-month program helps marketing and business development professionals become more confident and credible coaches within their firms. You’ll learn how to shift your approach from ad hoc guidance to focused, productive conversations that help business developers take meaningful action and deliver measurable results.

Work alongside a supportive peer cohort and receive practical tools, frameworks, and one-on-one feedback from seasoned coaches who understand the unique challenges of coaching in professional services firms, creating a secure and comfortable learning environment for you.

Who Should Participate

This cohort is designed for:

  • Practice group BD managers, BD managers and directors, marketing & BD directors, marketing managers, industry business development reps — anyone coaching seller-doers.

  • Teams that are welcoming new laterals, prepping senior associates for promotion, or recently merged firms.

  • Professionals who already do informal BD coaching but want to build more structure and consistency.

  • Those who want a clear roadmap, proven tools, and real-life guidance to grow their confidence and credibility as a coach.

  • Those who are ready to build an internal coaching program.

Program Structure

This extensive program allows for deep learning and application, ensuring you’re fully prepared to take on the role of a confident and credible coach within your firm.

Four live zoom sessions, each 60 minutes, will cover practical frameworks, real-world examples, and peer discussions, ensuring you receive tangible value from each session.

Two individual one-on-one coaching sessions with your PipelinePlus coaches, Melissa Hoff and Jennifer Castleberry, to tackle your specific questions and situations.

During this program, you’ll have the opportunity to build your coaching mindset, practice your skills, and shift from informal coaching to intentional, impactful support.

What Sets the BDI:CI Curriculum Apart?

Designed and led by experienced BD coaches who understand the unique realities of professional services firms, BDI:CI combines individual coaching sessions that focus on real scenarios with trusted advisors. It also provides practical frameworks drawn from The Short List. These tools are immediately applicable and offer a structured approach without generic fluff, so your coaching is effective and impactful from day one. Along the way, you’ll build the confidence and mindset needed to move from informal 'water cooler' conversations to sustainable, results-driven support.
